We are about 10 up now on Tampa in the lost column I think realistically the division is over now. There is no such thing as being “about ten games” up in the loss column. You either are ten games up in the loss column. Or you’re not. We are ten games up in the loss column... I was not sure how many we were up which is why I said about 10. Its like a confidence interval. I have no confidence so I am cautious... |

I don't believe in the baseball gods  I am not sure god cares who wins baseball games Its amazing, Tampa has allowed 16 runs less than LA although LA gets to pitch against pitchers and Tampa is in the best division. |

10 more games in a row without a break. First here against the Rockies than 3 against the Twins and 4 against Boston (both away). July has seen some pretty hard games and a lot more coming.

The Yankees now have a winning percentage of .653. To put that in some historical perspective, the last time any Yankee team finished a season with a better percentage was the legendary 1998 team at .704. And the last one before that was the equally legendary 1961 team, which finished at .673.
Now we're a long way from the end, and the Yankees have played nine more home games than road games so far. That pace will be tough to maintain.
But these bleeping savages have played some mighty good ball so far.

I looked at the July thru Sept calendar the other day. Its tough until Sept and then very easy. If we play .600 ball the next 6 weeks we can skate from there.
