I am leaving. I will find another board...where posters are capable of basic curtesy. And not having fits when posters don't think in lockstep with them.
Nothing I said was discourteous. Let me get this straight, Russ. You have stated that you take contrary points of view to others merely to do so, yet you are offended when someone disagrees with you? Also, what Mitch et al have stated is that “steering the ball away from defenders” is next to impossible at the MLB level. The argument was that the goal is making hard contact and is preferable to soft contact. You have argued that there is no acceptable data to you that hard contact leads to more hits than soft contact. Anyone, do I have this wrong? Please let me know if I am remembering incorrectly. There was no lack of courtesy in the situation. This point has been one of Russ’s favorite discussions for years. I’d say he’s a bit on the crabbier side than usual tonight...Maybe the trade thread thingy has him on edge. That might be my fault. I needled him over it...It’s my job. MrG told me to do it... (: |
