Interesting thought about the bifurcated argument. I’ve never heard of a furcated argument, though perhaps that could be an acceptable word for a singular argument. In these days of political correctness I’m wondering if there is a preference to call that a panfurcated argument. I think Russ gets lost in a galaxy of numbers from having entered data all day every day...Someday he’s going to find a live number in another galaxy and become famous... haha....I wonder if Russ lit up when he was a schoolboy, and the teacher started talking about imaginary numbers....young Russ might have wet his pants at that concept....

Going to school everyday with an imaginary 8 for a friend had to be difficult when the teacher wouldn’t let you save a seat for her. Yes her, hence the number eight. She was built, well, like the figure eight. Russ would have graduated with honors if she hadn’t sat on his lap in almost every class, blocking his view of the chalk board...Yet further explanation of the pants wetting...

Good to win. Who do we chear for now Boston or Tampa? I don't want Boston in the playoffs at all. The way our starting pitching has been lately, it wouldn't matter who we faced, so either that improves or we would lose to anyone. I'll say I prefer to face Boston in the playoffs because Yankees Boston is always entertaining. Their lineup is great, so is ours when/if we are healthy. Their pen doesn't scare me and neither do Price or Sale. They are the defending WS champs and their fans talk a lot of shit. I'd want the Yanks to go beat them. Despite how they played the Yanks for the last series though, they have some work to do to make the playoffs and Dombrowski did nothing to help them.

yeah, I agree we don't seem very competitive in our pitching lately....and the RS pitching hasn't been that much better, it seems.....I was watching Porcello last night, and he didn't get to finish the 6th, and gave up 6 runs by then....there is always the fear that Sale and Price start pitching like the aces they once were, and along with Rodriguez, become really tough in a short series...I will pull for any team to eliminate them, hopefully eliminate them before the playoffs..

I agree that our pitching is awful. It is strange Cashman does not appear to see it as a significant problem given his comments. I think he puts too much stalk in Severino saving the day. Who knows if he can even pitch.
