Inger. You would love Netflix. After carefully analysing your personality, the metrics found you would be an ideal candidate to binge watch the following shows on your ipad: 1. Better Call Saul 2. Ozarks 3. House of Cards season 6 4. Billions
Get started immediately if not sooner and you will totally miss the Yankees imminent Machado signing and furthermore won’t have time to care .

I love Better Caul Saul, but he should probably watch Breaking Bad first. I just started Ozark. Gets your attention immediately.

I think Better Call Saul stands on its own but if you’ve watched Breaking Bad first you get the benefit of some of the interconnections between the stories that you’d miss otherwise. Also, while I think Better Call Saul is an excellent show, it doesn’t quite match Breaking Bad which is one of the best shows in the history of television.

I knocked on a door today. Lot’s of them, actually. Once in a while, I find one I’ll never forget. The fellow that answered the door asked me to step inside, which I did.
He then started crying and told me he was a disabled veteran who had just been released from the veterans hospital. His wife had committed suicide on October 7th, after which he slashed his wrists in an attempt to follow her. He showed me the scars.
He had spent a week or so at his son’s house, and this was the night he decided to go back home, against his son’s wishes. I felt so much of his pain as he talked about how his wife’s clothes were still hanging in the closet, her cosmetics in the bathroom.
He told me he had been praying before I got there, and I didn’t know what else to say other than that if he was praying, then god sent me there to listen. I reminded him how important each one of us is to each other and how important he is.
He thanked me for stopping, and he told me he was sure god had sent me. Very powerful stuff. Just a short time ago, I was almost certain there was no god. Now, I’m pretty sure there is one. I’m not sure god is the right name, but by whatever name, I now believe there is something more than anything any of us is capable of understanding.
Whenever we have a bad day (and I was having a fine day myself), we have to remember the horrible things that human beings must sometimes endure. And, that we can be an answer to a prayer. I hope it did some good...

Stuff like this always happens to you, inger. I guess if you deal with a lot of people, you wind up having a lot of different experiences. What’s really odd is that I went through a stretch of years where I tried to avoid dealing with people as much as possible. I sure can’t explain it...Yet, when I think of “experiences”. I think about things like becoming a baseball announcer and living in Singapore, like you. Or traveling the world, like Pipps. Maybe starting my own Internet forum like Kaybli. Or becoming a wealthy, drug-addled owner of a remote inn down on the Baja. I don’t think about knocking on doors to promote solar sales and going home every night... Somehow, I’ve always been a seeker. The problem is that I still haven’t figured out what it is that I’m looking for...but I keep seeking, every day... I recently decided to join the Rose Crucian Order. The one thing that I believe I have in common with them is that they too, are walking around full of unanswerable questions... We’ll see if THAT makes me any weirder than I already am... (:

I PMd Sierchio on 11/2 and no reply yet. Anyone heard from him? He’s promised to behave himself...I know his gramma has been ill and he was awfully worried about caring for her...That’s why we haven’t seen much of him lately. This is a long absence for him, though...

Hoping Utah has found joy, too. I know he was talking about a cross-country dune buggy trip in the mountains and canyons, I believe...Some monstrous miles...
I suppose we’ve heard the last from him, but if he’s content...that is all that is important...

Anyone hear from jwild? I used to argue with him almost as much as I do with joe. He was a really intelligent and prolific poster. Gotta respect guys that can back their POVs up even if you totally disagree with them.

Told him multiple times to come here and gave him the link, but it seems he's stubbornly gone down with the scout.com ship.

Odd question, but do I have to cancel my scout account or is it already defunct? I don’t receive a hard copy statement of my credit card bill so I don’t know if I’m still getting pinged or not. If so, I need to call the bank and cancel it.

If so, I need to call the bank and cancel it. Their website is still going so I would think you would have to cancel it. On the site it says:
