My bocce team only won 4 matches last season, but we're already 4-1 this season. Would 5-0 if I hadn't missed two winning shots against the best team in the league.

Good for you Matt, being out there pitching the pallina. Bocce seems like a hybrid of horseshoes and croquet. The few times I played it I was amazed at the skill level of the guys who were really good. It requires enough hand-eye coordination that it's not like the last competitive sport you can play before you go to the assisted living facility. I think shuffleboard still has that distinction. For the record, I don't count bingo or pinochle or line dancing as competitive sports. |

My bocce team won this morning's match 3-0. I played so well, the other team was calling me "The Assassin". Now 5-1 and firmly in 3rd place.

Midgets at the plate, elephants on the field, owners from the past would try anything to get fans in the stands. |
