Are any of guys watching the game on ESPN2 with the statcast broadcast? A nice alternative to the regular clowncast on ESPN. I just switched over. Who's announcing here? |

Not watching tonight (at the hospital with mom) but last year the stats broadcast (or nerd broadcast as they were calling it) was much much better. Actual knowledge instead of douchebags like Alex Rodriguez talking to hear themselves speak. |

Maybe I underestimated this Rays team. Maybe if they hang on they can challenge the Astros with Morton, Snell and Glasnow? It will be a travesty to have playoffs games in the Trop Dump though.

Totally agree. The Rays are a good team. And they haven’t gotten their due partially becaue expectations were all Yankees/Sox. But that stadium should never be allowed to have playoff baseball. |

I'll second, I hope your mom is OK. Thanks fellas. She came through the surgery great. I’ll see her in the morning but it seems to have gone well. Sorry to get the news late. We spent the day in the mountains. Then we wound up getting a flat tire at 11,000 feet with about an hour of daylight to go. That is not what you want at the elevation and with dwindling light and heat. As fortune would have it, before I had really even got my tools together to change the tire, a GMC Yukon pulled up and four guys in their thirties hopped out and just took over. They were like a pit crew with one guy pulling the spare out from under the truck while another was loosening the lug nuts and another was getting the jack set to raise the truck. It was like a blur. Then they insisted we leave ahead of them so they could follow us down the mountain to make sure we’d be safe. It was really cool... I got names and one address so I can send them something nice for helping us. They didn’t want anything, but it’ll be in the twenties tonight up on that mountain...And sure, I’d have gotten the tire changed, but... wow!... |
