Congrats to Mr. Romine.. I read that the Yanks were looking to get Maldonado for Cole.. which wouldn't be such a bad thing.. I don't remember seeing him play last season , but thought he was pretty good on D with the Angels. Wonder if Romines gonna bring up the little brawl to Miggy lol. Maldonado isn't much of a hitter but he's an excellent catcher, so this wouldn't be a bad signing.

Kluber traded to Rangers.
That's all it took to get Kluber? Glad he didn't go to one of our rivals.

Very unimpressive return for Kluber. Maybe the Kluber is hurt more than we think and the Indians know it, if not, I'm not sure what Cleveland is thinking.

Hence the adage regarding trades: Better a year too early than a year too late. If the Indians would have dealt Kluber at the 2018 trade deadline they could have retooled their minor league system, or got an all-star outfielder plus prospects...

Lots of positive leadership leaving the Yankees’ clubhouse in Sabathia, Gregorius, and to a lesser extent Romine. Each a personality that steadily upheld a professional demeanor and a team-first countenance. No Twitter flaming, no gotta-get-mine childishness, no Antonio Brown-like embarrassment. Sabathia’s good-nature and humility dutifully fighting off age, injury, and alcoholism. Gregorius’ creativity and humor relaxing fans with Jeter-withdrawal symptoms, yet Jeteresquely playing the game “the right way.” Romine’s whenever-you-need-me-I’m-ready, lunch-pail preparedness holding serve and then some, time after time. They wore the Pinstripes with pride.

Brett Gardner and Aaron Judge remain to fill much of the void, and this will allow others the opportunity to grow and fill the rest...Maybe big Luke Voit can become one of the new leaders... Time after time I played in the game I fought in every battle Never once came up lame The Guess Who

Bumgarner is close to going to the D-Backs. Lots of years for a model with all those miles on it and a recent repair history. Oh well. The upholstery is still holding up. Keep the oil changed and treat it to upgraded tires. It won’t hurt it to be on the freeway, but don’t spin the tires or take it off-roaring and it should get you to work every day...

I agree with this Gumby > MadBum Ain’t no doubt about it I’ve just got to shout it... Bumgarner may turn out to be one of the all time greats, and Montgomery may not rise above what we’ve seen. I woukdn’t bet that way, though...

Bumgarner is close to going to the D-Backs. 5 years, 85 million. He didn't get the nine figure deal he wanted.

I agree with this Gumby > MadBum I’d certainly put my money on Monty to outperform Bumgarner. When Bum’s name was batted about last season, I was quite happy when the trade deadline expired with him still in San Francisco. Go Gumby!

Time after time I played in the game I fought in every battle Never once came up lame The Guess Who Certainly, this Yankee team belongs to Aaron Judge and has the last three years. Judge is the face of the franchise; his frame casts the long shadow since his 52 homer rookie season. My remarks were not lamenting the loss of leadership necessarily, just simply reflecting on the positive qualities of those three individuals while they were in Pinstripes......especially in juxtaposition to the most recent video chapter in the bizarre Antonio Brown saga.
