Maybe we should just trade high on Urshela... One of the keys to this team is depth. I like what both of those guys bring to the table. And, as we have seen for the last several seasons, baseball players get hurt. I’m not so eager to trade away valuable pieces, especially when free agency has what is needed available in starting pitching. The Yankees have plenty of money, not hitters who lace 75 extra base hits at 23 years old or play third base unlike anyone since Nettles.

I just fantasize about Cole, Paxton, Severino, Tanaka, and Montgomery. Who knows what will happen with German?

I just fantasize about Cole, Paxton, Severino, Tanaka, and Montgomery. Who knows what will happen with German? Who knows how soon we’ll need to squeeze Deivi Garcia into the mix? I know the results weren’t there this season in AAA, but those were his baby steps...

Thanks CHI... I need to expand my Twitter viewing. I'll check the page out. I came on here to post a theory. NYY has been keen on signing ex Red Sux CF'ers... Damon... Ellsbury.. JBJ is a FA after next season... think this trend continues?? Or did we learn our lesson with Ells-burriedontheDL?

Cole also refuted the assumption that he would prefer to play for a West Coast team. Before the American League Championship Series against the Yankees, Astros outfielder Josh Reddick had mentioned that Cole, a Southern California native, “probably wants to be closer to home,” and “it’s definitely going to be west of Nevada.” “No, that’s not a fair assumption,” Cole said Thursday. “I never said that.”

He’s been coached by his agent. They benefit from having every possible team involved in the bidding regardless of what he prefers.
