Carlos Correa says Astros won World Series 'fair and square'

"Regarding reports that Altuve might have had a buzzer system inside his jersey, Correa pointed to an earlier incident in which he ripped off his teammate's jersey and said the second baseman was trying to hide an unfinished tattoo."

Correa is winning the challenge to see who can end up looking like the biggest douche on the Astros. Mike Fiers should apologize and should have personally stopped the Astros from cheating? What a moron. |

Well Manfred got one thing right:
Manfred: One of the most important things that has to happen in order to put this episode... people are never going to forget about it, but to move on from it, is for the entire organization — starting from the top, owner all the way through the players — to accept responsibility and to apologize. Not only to their fans, but to the fans across the other 29 teams. It’s hard to deny the fact that that is going to be an ongoing process here. It didn’t get done the other day.
Ravech: Most people will describe it as an epic failure. How would you describe it?
Manfred: It was not successful.

As meaningless as it may be, if I had any power in this scenario at all I would make the Astros replace any flags flying over their stadium with flags of solid black with the year and accomplishment on them. The shame of the black flag would last forever and be a constant reminder to the fans, the team and all others to come that cheating does not pay... Black flags. Maybe some to come in Boston, soon too... |
