Tequila & I just got back from a real long TRIP (Mind you, Tequila went reluctantly...).
I smoked to much Deadman’s Skull and had some mushrooms as a side dish and well, well, well…we been on a hell of a trip. Cannot remember much, just Bits & Pieces and NO, you DO NOT want to know about those Bs & Ps…go figure. We recently had a chance to catch up with our Board Reading and got a Kick out of the Cheating Scandal Thread… We were shocked by Some of the Articles/Posts stating they will/or would like to Bean the Astro Players = “YOU SAID WHAT?”
Those statements just left me Shaking my Head in disbelief and wondering if I should lite up Deadman’s Skull again and Exit Left…Let’s take a look at Baseball History: Since nearly the beginning of this great sport, EVERY TEAM has tried to steal signs on an ongoing basis. Yes, even us = The New York Yankees. The only thing the Astro’s did was to use Technology (Bravo to them = they thought outside the box). They also got caught (real stupid) and got a well-deserved punishment. Yes, they broke the RULES = No doubt about that and got a tough punishment. Just keep in mind PLEASE, while they were using their system (Tech) to steal signs just about every other team at the exact same time, were trying to steal signs too minus the tech part. So how about we stop going after them, for soon someone well be stating to "Cut Off Their Heads and Put Their Severed Heads On Spikes," etc. etc. etc. P.S. Jay email me and let me how you are doing. Hoping everything is OK and getting better for you. Tequila says HEY!!! AND NOW THIS = THEY ARE ALL CHEATING = ONE WAY OR THE OTHER = IT IS THEIR NATURE TOO...

I don't think all teams cheat. Most lack the technical sophistication that Houston has. Plus trash cans are expensive. Pittsburgh probably could not afford one. Welcome back dome. Given that run production is way up pitchers are not cheating very well.

ESPN has irresponsibly trotted out a series of athletes spewing athlete bullshit about how the players should have closed ranks and how Fiers should have kept his mouth shut. At least Tex as willing to speak up.

This is extremely premature. Three spring training games, very early in spring training at that, are hardly a measure that causes me alarm. The idiot writer of the article protracting that to 216 full regular season at bats is looking for something to write. And, really? The Marlins? What would they truly be retaliating for? This was a bird cage liner article. Nothing sad or stupid here folks. Ignore it... Let’s see what’s happening 10 days from now...

What ever happened to the permanent ineligible list? The new player contract made everyone permanently ineligible for the permanentlyIneligible list... Not the managers ..... or former players like say Beltran.

There is not a lot of evidence that players are being thrown at deliberately. Most of the Houston players who have been hit were not on the team when the cheating occurred. Of the two who were hit and on the team one players got hit on the foot and the other got hit on a 3-2 count by a player trying to make the team (and it was not a fastball).
Lots of other teams have been hit nearly as much as Houston.
