Back injuries suck. I have stenosis and scoliosis.. It used to hurt REALLY bad.. but I found some stretches that really help me out. I'm sure I said this before, but the doc told me (10 years ago now) that I shouldn't get the surgery until I start shitting my pants.. so I have that to look forward to.. hopefully many decades from now. I haven't had backpain in a couple months.. until today.. but I'm good now. When the doc looked at the MRI she asked me if I ever got i a sporting or vehicle accident... which I haven't.. but she said that's how it looked.. I know a lot of fighters had to quit fighting because of stenosis... if they got slammed too hard they were at risk of getting paralyzed.. (well, extremely more so than an average healthy fighter)

I mean, an expulsion of flatus, not a bowel evacuation, and the canine expelled it, not I...

But they've been a lot better since I lost weight (23 pounds and counting!) Congrats, Kaybli! During my worst depression, which came in the months that led up to and then immediately followed the worst of my marital discord and career change I got up to 233 pounds. Once I started working to take it off, I eventually got down to 190. I eventually leveled off at about 210-215 for several years, but have “resettled” at about 200 for the past few years. I can feel just a bit of soft rubber around the middle now, but at 66... I don’t care about that much...When I was doing more physical work, I could carry 215 just as well as I can 200 now. It’s good for you to get the weight off while you’re younger. How tall are you? Weight? Are you a Gemini? What’s your favorite color? Do you like pets? Oh, wait. That was the wrong form. Sorry!...

Cashman said the No. 5 rotation spot will be decided between Jordan Montgomery, Michael King, Jonathan Loaisiga, Luis Cessa & Deivi Garcia, calling it an “open competition.”

That’s the best way to state it. Good back up if Montgomery doesn’t seem to be all the way back. I think if he is, the job will become his. If he’s not all the way back, I still can’t imagine Garcia nabbing that spot until he gets over the hump at AAA. Since Loasiga and Cessa have both done some starting but come up short on consistency, that would thrust King into the mix at that point...and perhaps another pitcher, too...shhh. Cashman isn’t saying who...

Really Kaybli, you are doing yourself a great favor. You've already done the hardest part by making the commitment and staying with it. Keep us posted on your progress.

I'd prefer to keep Cessa in the bullpen, since his stuff plays out better in that role. The Yanks will eventually get Paxton and maybe German back, so they should be fine, AS LONG AS the rest of the other starters stay healthy.
