Getting back to Christie McVie, there's a song on one of her sole records, called "Got a Hold on Me" that's worth a listen and would have fit in well on one of those early 80's Fleetwood albums. We also heard Christie a lot this fall on Chevy commercial that featured Everywhere. RIP That commercial was unavoidable during the playoffs and college football games. I kept thinking that a nightmare would be being stuck on a long trip in that SUV with the four airhead women singing along with that song.

How to ruin a good song for the world # 601… I actually hope no one ever gets paid a dime for the Camp Lejuene water issue, or for mesothelioma exposure. At least no one that gets involved because of those damned <Shouod be illegal> ambulance chaser commercials…

"Songbird" was another classic McVie song. She was great. Loved that voice, too. My favorite Group = Fleetwood Mac -- She was great and may she rest in PEACE. Thanks for the music.

I picked up this funky song from the Wednesday Addams Netflix Show based on the Addams Family:
It's nice that The Cramps are getting some love. Featuring Lux Interior and Poison Ivy. "Goo Goo Muck" is one of their better ones. I bought the first album of theirs that I was aware of -- "Songs The Lord Taught Us" -- they described it as psychobilly, a deranged derivative of rockabilly, but Rolling Stone defined their music as garage-trash novelty. Same thing if you ask me. Like a lot of these groups, the album titles were better than the actual music -- "Bad Songs For Bad People" or "A Date With Elvis" -- but they were okay in short doses. They did a recording "Live From Napa State Mental Hospital" that at least at one time was prized by collectors. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame used to display a drumhead that was bashed over the skull of Lux Interior.

Yeah, I was into punk rock early on, especially The Ramones and Sex Pistols. Even though it embraced the exact opposite lifestyle of what I was aiming for. Dead Kennedys, Nervus Rex, any of that. It was never hard to figure out the chords. Not that it's punk, although from the punk era, if you want to hear really limited talent, listen to anything by The Shaggs. Here's an example -- www.youtube.com/watch?v=XR9d4ESlpHYOne of the Fine Arts buildings at Penn is named for Charles Addams, who went to school there and created "The Addams Family" as single panel cartoons for The New Yorker.

They were produced by an actually talented band called NRBQ who got tipped off to them and couldn't believe what they were hearing. As you can see that one cut has almost three million views, so somebody else is listening to them. Tell all your friends!!

Maybe “Uncle Ankle Ankle (Admiral Halsey”…

Maybe “Uncle Ankle Ankle (Admiral Halsey”… It's tough to make it through. When I first bought the album, I had no idea what they sounded like. I bought it to settle an argument between my brother and cousin as to whether, judging from the album cover, they were really ugly girls or guys just goofing around. They are for real girls and not a put on. After we had listened to about four tracks, we began having for-real headaches and had to pause. They do have their cult following.
