Me too bro. I try not to come down too hard on too many songs because somebody out there will like it and I don't want them getting mad at me. But I never liked that one. I am self-aware enough to know that I like plenty of schlock so I never feel offended if somebody hates a song I like. That's why there's so many different kinds of music. I know Nebraska fairly well. Don't know of any mountains there...yellow or otherwise. There is Bighorn Mountain in the southwest portion of the panhandle. Its elevation is about 4600 feet. Set among rolling hills in an area near 2,000 ft elev. to me it barely meets mountain definition with maybe 2,000 feet of prominence. Hmm. Just realized that I’ve never been to Nebraska. Honestly, I can’t think of any reason to go there…

Hmm, maybe I'm the one who missed it. There was also Sam Cooke in "Cupid" singing "I don't mean to bother you but I'm in this dress." And that's all I've got. Felix had a great song..."Only A Lonely Heart Sees" which, IMO, should've been a #1... www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLM14gwU9hMLiked that one a lot. They were a dynamic live band. Dino Danelli was a heck of a showman, and Eddie Brigatti could sing a little bit too, as in "How Can I Be Sure."

He still tours with that song as his headliner. I think he’s in LaVeta, CO every year at a place called “Up Top”, on a mountain above the town. It’s amazing what one song can do for a career. Like when they asked Don McClean what “American Pie” meant. He said: “It means I’ll never have to work again in my life.”… Yeah...Don McLean living off "American Pie", but he's written and performed many beautiful songs...several of which are on the "American Pie" album. But my favorite of his is "Castles In The Air"... www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTqi7iEZEWAVincent has a nice sound, and yes… Castles in the air…

More seriously, Omaha is a pretty nice Midwestern town, and Boys Town has an amazing campus. But it's more like something you stop in if something brings you through the area than a destination. Unless you're like me and pretty much anything is a destination.

I've seen The Rascals many, many times...several times before they hit it big. They used to play around Westchester a lot. Saw the live show "Once Upon A Dream" several times. Great stuff... www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCSGsbhdnvowww.youtube.com/watch?v=W38SOJXx2ZM

I believe all four members are still living, which would make them one of the very few groups from the 60s still intact.

The Rolling Stones are playing at Jazz and Heritage Festival in New Orleans this year. Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood still at it! By the way, Pipps, check out this guy originally from Sweden who found a home in Louisiana - he's a regular at Jazz Fest: And, the immortal Sam Cooke cover:

No...Dino died around this time last year. Aw jeez I missed that. In 1967, we were lucky at New Brunswick Senior HS (New Jersey, NJ) have to a series of Rock and Roll Concerts. The 1st one feature The Young Rascals, with the opening act of the Philly R&B act, "The Tymes" of the "So in Love Fame." The Young Rascals would introduce their latest single to us, It was "Groovin." Their hit "You better Run," really tore the HS Gym down. Also that year, we saw The Shang-liars and Sam the Sham's Go-Go Revenue. The Rascals would visited Scott Muni with a copy of Groovin' sung in Italian, it was a beautiful to hear. Clipper
