We are you & wife going on your road trip? We're doing a loop from here thru New Mexico, Colorado, Utah then back home. Stopping in Santa Fe to visit with a lifelong friend of my wife, then up thru Taos to Colorado to visit our kids, grandkids and new baby great-granddaughter. Thru Colorado to Utah to visit Cedar Breaks Nat Mon, Vermilion Cliffs Nat Mon, then a stop in Sedona on the way home.

I'm dealing with COVID right now. Been really sick since the Yosemite trip. Finally tested myself yesterday and both my test and wife's test were positive. Have a vidio Drs appt. today but suspect I'm past the point where antibiotics will help. I read they have to be taken within 3 days on getting sick. It's been closer to 10 days. Persistent cough and fatigue but feeling a little better. Sorry to hear that...glad you're starting to feel a little better.

For anyone who likes or is curious about Harry Nilsson, just finished watching Who Is Harry Nilsson (and why is everybody talking about him). I recommend watching it. Great to hear songs from throughout his remarkable and often turbulent career. Particularly loved hearing those old songs like 1941, Good Old Desk, Think about Your Troubles as well as his better known hits. If you're a Nilsson fan, you'll enjoy it. In my opinion the best male singer of the 60's and 70's.

As you know a favorite of The Beatles, especially John Lennon. My memory is that he rarely if ever played any live concerts, although he did do TV appearances. I remember his song "Me And My Arrow" being used in a commercial for the Plymouth Arrow, and him doing the theme for the 70s TV show "The Courtship Of Eddie's Father" ("Best Friend"), yet another of Bill Bixby's seemingly endless stream of shows. He obviously had his share of hits, especially "Without You" and "Everybody's Talkin" and "The Lord Must Be In New York City" and "Coconut", but I remember one he did called "Bath" which is supposedly about washing his -- er, member I guess you could say after visiting a brothel. Shrouded in mystery.

According to the show, he did not do live concerts. May have actually been closer to Ringo, than Lennon, although they are known for their "lost weekend." Ringo was best man at one of his weddings. Plus, they made that awful movie together. I've always been amazed by Nilsson's incredible range. Most people can't sing along with Without You when he takes it up an octave, but if you listen closely, he's singing background harmony a third above that. Somewhere up in the stratosphere. Few can reach those notes. Maybe Roy Orbison.

He did write the very similar sounding "I Guess the Lord Must Be in New York City" for the movie, but "Everybody's Talkin" was chosen instead. Both great songs.

Nah...no RV. We seriously considered that a few years ago, even put a deposit on one...a small Class C. But after much thought decided against it after considering storage, maintenance, etc. costs. It wouldn't pay, and I'm glad we decided against it. We have an SUV, and stop for 1-2 nights in each location depending on what's to see in the area. The primary purpose of this trip is to visit family in Colorado, which we do at least twice a year. We try to incorporate a little sightseeing along the way...it's the journey, along with the destination. Fortunately, there are many unique places to visit...a person could spend weeks just visiting National Parks/Monuments in AZ-NM-CO-UT, most of which we've visited. But there's usually something new along the way if you look hard enough. I've never taken the drive thru Vermilion Cliffs...looking forward to it.
