Not revealing my source just yet, because this is completely for fun. Have I found it? The Holy Grail of song lyrics? The words to “Louie, Louie”? Copy and paste below:
**********
Turns out Louie Louie is the heartbreaking story of a lovelorn sailor crying on the shoulder of a sympathetic bartender. The story goes:
********** Louie Louie, me gotta go. Louie Louie, me gotta go.
A fine girl, she wait for me. Me catch the ship across the sea. I sail the ship all alone. I never think I'll make it home.
Louie Louie, me gotta go.
Three nights and days we sailed the seas. Me think of girl constantly. On the ship, I dream she there. I smell the rose in her hair.
Louie Louie, me gotta go.
Me see Jamaican moon above. It won't be long me see me love. Me take her in my arms and then I tell her I never leave again.

Motörhead would be my choice between the two, but I still prefer the cleaner, more raucous sounding strains from the Kingsmen and the 60’s... which was ahead of its time...
So controversial back then. Because the lyrics could not be understood, they were assumed to be filthy. Some thought that to be intentional...

Girl, you’re a hot-blooded woman child And it’s warm where you’re touching me But I can tell by your trembling smile You’re seeing way too much of me... <Baby Don’t Get Hooked On Me>

I remember watching Mac Davis in the movie North Dallas Forty with Nick Nolte about the ugly side of pro football. He was a heck of a talent. RIP

Anyone want to share one of their favorite tunes?
Here's one of my favorite Steely Dan tracks, Kid Charlemagne. I like this mostly for the great guitar work by Larry Carlton.
