You’re So Rude is just amazing... the music fits it, the band sounds great. “what’s that noise? why’d they come back so soon”? Who hasn’t been in that spot before?... The only thing it may be missing is another verse or two Stewart carried a lot of the material with him into his solo career. “Stay With Me” was great stuff, too...

Just what I needed this morning! That first verse just slays me every time: "My Mum she likes you, thinks you're swell; Got the makings of a dance hall girl; With your low cut frock and your bird's nest hair; Stiletto heels and the way that you swear..."
Thanks, inger, my Faces loving friend!
You, Mr. Ren, are more than welcome. I’m sure that “Rude” is pretty near to the top of the list of songs that play inside my head when nobody else can hear. It’s one of the more dignified tunes on the list in fact. I think the theme songs from “Mr. Ed”, “Gilligan’s Island”, “The Flintstones” and “The Jetsons” probably occupy much higher rankings than I would like, though. “Mr. Ed” will often pop into my head when I mow grass. I believe it’s the repetitive simplicity of the task. But then if that’s true, why am I not treated to a concerto when I’m doing something more complex? ... I have to go study this now... is that a flute I’m hearing?...Jethro Tull? I never listen to this stuff...

Odd fact, inger--you can interchange the words for Gilligans Island with Amazing Grace and vice versa and they fit--at least to the part where they say "The Professor and, Mary Ann..." which was not in the original.

If I ever go to church again that might come in handy... Don’t forget that Stewart did a vocal of a single verse of Amazing Frace on his “Every Picture Tells A Story” album. I’d bet he was thinking about Ginger and Mary Anne while he performed that... 😁

Britt Eckland? Don't know if she was a Bond girl, but she, too, was fine.

Britt Eckland? Don't know if she was a Bond girl, but she, too, was fine. She was in The Man With the Golden Gun, with Roger Moore, Christopher Lee and Tattoo from Fantasy Island.

Thanks for the Bond info. Saw Faces on one of their last tours and was standing first row elbows on the stage. Off to the side sitting on some amps were Rod's and Ron Wood's girlfriends. Blonde. Smokin' hot. Not sure if one of them was Britt or not, but neither was hard to look at.

When did this become the “Horny Thread”? Stop before Dome signs in... It kind of goes hand in hand with the music theme.
