I do not agree with all of their picks--but I like a lot of these songs:
There’s not a bad song in the bunch, but I would have to include this one: I’m with you. Good bunch of tunes, but “Midnight Train to Georgia” has to boot somebody out. I wonder if any other state has evoked as much music as Georgia? Midnight Train To Georgia Georgia on My Mind / Brook Benton Walking Back To Georgia / Jim Croce Georgia on my Mind / Ray Charles I guess it’s hard to write songs like “Iowa on My Mind” or “Midnight Train to New Hampshire”. Songs have to fit lyrically... Alabama has several... Some cities get attention ...

Many may not have heard of him, but we just lost another legend singer-songwriter in Billy Joe Shaver, who died October 22, 2020. Sticking with the Georgia theme...

Yes, I have heard of Shaver. Heard a bit of his music. His music had an affect on more than just country... Artists influences always cross to other venues ...

Happy 75th birthday to my all time favorite artist. Long may you run Neil! I saw his High School picture the other day. It was hilarious because it looked like... Neil Young now... except for the hair...

Yesterday was Gordon Lightfoot's 82nd birthday. A great song writer with an amazing deep voice and quite the story teller. He's still active and performing at least he was still performing until this pandemic shut everything down.

Unless you want to say I’m more about the past than today...

Sometimes I get this crazy dream That I just take off in my car But you can travel on 10,000 miles And still stay where you are
(Stanza from “WOLD”, Harry Chapin).
