Congrats on a big win. I usually hear of the Cajuns during basketball season, it's nice to see their football squad making some noise. A side note: The Steelers do have a rookie guard on their squad, named Kevin Dotson who went to Louisiana. He’s a great story. Wasn’t highly recruited out of high school. Just kept getting better and better. Big dude, good guy with a strong work ethic. Loves to run block. Has a twin brother who also played college football at Nicholls State in Louisiana. Looks like Dotson will make his first NFL start on Sunday. Congrats to him! |

I am surprised as well at how Florida State has fallen of late. They recruit in a talent-rich area, and should not be struggling like this. I'm a life long Florida Gator fan and have watched FSU be bad for a few seasons. Twenty years ago, FSU, UF and Miami got most of the good Florida high school talent, but not anymore. Many recruits go out of state or places like Central Florida and South Florida. UCF has been better than FSU and Miami the last few years. Miami usually looks good on paper and then they end up being mediocre. Coaching is also a big part of FSU's demise. The Gators stunk too for a couple seasons, but I believe Dan Mullen has turned them around. I don't think UCF was that great. I think they did not play anyone.
But FSU and Miami have been very poor for years. Decades in Miami's case.

I watched the Gators yesterday and they're a terrible tackling team. The offense was impressive, but their defense should never give up 35 points to Ole Miss.

Gators scored 51 points and we were still nervous. |
