I don't want to retype the comment scroll down if you want to read it.
I certainly have no inside Yankee information, but a case might be made that the Yankees are too quick to put players on the IL. Stanton had a leg problem? He is a DH. He couldn't hit with that? Kirk Gibson limping to the plate in the WS comes to mind. Judge said he could have played the next day, and wanted to. That's too big of a loss to take when the player insists he is good. I would take care in using any pitcher that feels a twinge, because they might do real damage to their arm in trying to compensate for that, but a position player who has an ouchie? I would feel differently if the last few years of suspected excessive caution seemed to work well on future injuries, but it seems that instead the threshold has been set so low that most anything can mean a trip to the IL. I’m okay with all of that. I’m also a bit concerned about the trust level between Judge and Boone. Judge says he’s fine. All right. Sit him an extra day or two. But putting him on the DL for 16.7% of this shortened season instead of letting him heal his boo-boo and get back at it may have been the difference in a game or two vs. Tampa. I’m not pleased with that at all. Boone has shown that he can handle the press and player relationships (for the most part), but this was a critical tactical move to put up on the same shelf of poor tactical moves in games, in setting lineups, in deciding who to sit out and when, carrying over to ofc in game moves and a high dependence on the mainframe in the the Yanks IT room...

I think we need to look for people who weight lift less. Being serious. The super developed players seem to get hurt a lot.

I think Stanton is going to average about 500,000 a game this year. About what he got last year.

Unbelievable. Three years in a row of injuries. We already have a damn fine team on the injured list in less than half a season.
Closer: Zack Britton
Set-up: Tommy Kahnle
Right Handed Starter: Luis Severino
Left Handed Starter: James Paxton
Right Fielder: Aaron Judge
Left Fielder: Giancarlo Stanton
Center Fielder: Jacoby Ellsbury
Catcher: Kyle Higashioka
Second Baseman: D.J. LeMahieu
Shortstop: Gleyber Torres

Dammit rizz, you jinxed us.. you left off a 3rd sacker... now whenever we play a game again, Gio is gonna get hurt, we're gonna have to see Andujar's lack of D at 3rd... and the season is over...
