Crappy season. Once again nobody cant stay healthy, half the starting pitching is not there. You are not going to win many games with one run. We might well have lost this without Chapman in the 9th. I don't see any evidence we would have scored period But this hurts when I was not in great shape anyway

Give Chapman credit. He was losing pitcher in a team's post season elimination game two years in a row. That's a high level of chokeness there. I think he's one of those closers that is better with leads than ties.

Chapman dominated him earlier in this series and in the regular season. Typical Chapman, coming up small in the biggest moments. That is why I am not a great fan of chapman. Too many home runs in big games. But it was an offensive failure. LMH Voit and Stanton all played their worse game of the series against a team who's starter left in the third. It does not help that we can not manufacture runs. Every pitcher the Rays used in this game was elite, that's a big reason why they had the best record in the AL.

If he had not pitched well the other day we would probably not be here. He made one bad pitch. So did Cole. Actually Cole made 2 and got lucky. This was how the 2001 WS game 7 was supposed to end

That nobody has a career .939 OPS against lefties. He’s two for two off them tonight. Chapman dominated him earlier in this series and in the regular season. Typical Chapman, coming up small in the biggest moments. I’d say our hitters came up small. Only three hits. We weren’t going to win with one run.

It's just annoying you have it all set up with a depleted Astros team waiting if you win and your opposition tonight only scoring 2 runs total and you can't get it done. This was prob their best shot at the World Series in a while if they had won this.

But our offense still failed not our pitchers. Two really good teams. In honesty I thought tampa was better given our very weak starters. We did well all things considering. Not that it doe not hurt.

It’s amazing the bullpen they have.

The Twins and A's probably though that way about the Astros but Houston's hitters are on fire right now and their bullpen is good, although the Ray's pitching staff will be a big challenge for them.

Those two errors we made really bothered me. Two extra outs we made our relievers have to get.

Funeral dirge playing. It was not an unexpected death. It was however a painful one. The longer Brosseau was at the plate, the worse that at bat felt... I was hoping we’d see Snell as the second pitcher. I think we’d have taken him down...
As I said before the post season started. I hope this gets the attention of the front office. Make some changes. Add some speed, athleticism, contact hitting. If we could find a long term home for Chapman somewhere else would please me, too. Britton can close. Green can set up. Make sure everybody can field and throw the ball.
That’s it for now. More specifics later. Hint: No more eternal prospects. If they can’t play now, they can go away...

Crappy season. Once again nobody cant stay healthy, half the starting pitching is not there. I'm not sure how much the starting pitching can be blamed. Cole gave up 1 run and 1 hit. Montgomery did what they needed. Cole won the first game. If you want to blame anyone Tanaka didn't come out strong but it's really more of the bs of game 2 where they had the best chance of winning outside of tonight. The offense even in losses most of the season didn't just score a run and nothing else so it was weird to see them not score past the 1 tonight. U cant tell me you wouldn't rather of had Seve and Germain over Happ, Montgomery and the kid?
