DJ moving to first wouldn't rule out his playing some 2B, 3B. Gleyber is NOT a good SS. I think Stroman is a better bet moving forward than Tanaka. Younger and a better risk health wise. And probably a little less costly. Bauer would cost WAY too much. Stroman is younger but turns 30 next season and has missed essentially two seasons with a torn left ACL in 2015 and a torn left calf last year. Probably less costly than Tanaka, as you said. Bauer wanting a short-term deal helps the Yankees, who can afford to overpay for only three years. It’s the Ellsbury and Stanton type contracts that hurt flexibility. Bauer is also just self-centered and egotistical enough to care very little about a relentless press and pitching in NY.

Bauer can be a drone, I’ve heard...

Oh shit! Put the tea back on the boat, boys! Oh! Britton, not Britain. Actually, I’m very happy for this. Please move Chapman and let Zack close for us...I’m so tired of the Chapman meltdowns...I know the stats are still good, but something just happens once in a while where you can just tell that a certain hitter is going to smack him around...

I see something else in Chapman. The last two years, he’s added a slider and a split finger, and he can still routinely hit triple digits. He’s not just mailing it in. Give him a full spring training to develop that split, and he could be the best in the business again. Give him a trustworthy defensive catcher, and he wouldn’t have to worry about throwing a slider in the dirt. Still have no idea why Boone lifted Higgy to have Chapman pitch to Sanchez. Not as bad as Cash lifting Snell, but it was obvious to me that the Rays would sit fastball with Sanchez behind the dish.

And Chapman should have mixed up a slider or split to Brosseau at the end there. It was obvious that Brosseau was on his fastball.

I am not overly pleased with our BP.
I think we should bring back Britton and i am indifferent about Chapman & the rest of the BP.
SO i wouldn't mind seeing some Prospects PLUS I think we should give a LOOK SEE at these Relievers:

Yes to Hand and O'Day. But I doubt the Yanks will spend the money to get it done.
No to Osuna. One wife beater in the bullpen is more than enough for me.

I read somewhere the day after the game that Sanchez called for the slider on the pitch that Brosseau homered on but Chapman shook him off. It seems to be overlooked now, but I think Boone lifting Higgy in that situation was one of the worst moves of his young managerial career.

It looks like one of the disgraced managers will get a second chance.

It looks like one of the disgraced managers will get a second chance. Should have been a lifetime ban. This is what happens when discipline is lax..

Chapman def suffers from the closers in tie games not as effective trait as well. They obviously need 1 more guy even with Chapman they are missing that Betances type guy they had before. Speaking of him if he declines his player option with the Mets he would be a FA, but I dunno if he is the same that he was before the injury as he didn't look great with the mets at all. Kahnle is out till at least September minimum maybe the whole season.
