If somehow the Yankees traded for Javier Baez from the Cubs, then the Reds might trade Castillo for Gleyber Torres. Torres is and will be a better hitter than Baez, but Baez is the better shortstop. But, I don’t except either happening. |

Poor Ben Heller, he was DFA'd to make room for the recently signed Darren O'Day. That stinks for Heller. Heller’s performed well in his limited opportunity, but... hasn’t stayed on the field. It must really bite though to be 29 years old and get DFA’d for a 38 year old guy... I’ve been rooting for Heller the entire 5+ years, hoping he could stay well and come up big for us. I guess that’s 5 years I won’t get back... |

Some of these pitchers are getting used to being DFA’d and then signed again in a few weeks following a pulled muscle picking up a tube of Pringle’s. He just might be back before Spring Training ends. |

Benintendi traded to KC in a three way deal with the Mets. I'm glad he won't be playing as much at Yankee Stadium, he had a lot of success there.

I like Heller too, he has a great arm, but he just can't stay healthy. I'm guessing he gets claimed by someone, there's a lot of bad pens out there. |
