If there is any truth at all to the near-fantasy that a player can earn a job in spring training, Luetge has done that. We know the jobs are “almost” all assigned before those games begin. He’ll probably get a pretty short leash though. Could just be a Scranton Shuttle guy. It’s going to be up to him... |

Stupid cost-cutting measures that will punch another hole in the process of readying these young men for their careers. In the end, the quality of the game suffers and the owners get yet another excuse for waiting to promote the young talent onto the MLB clock. |
