Yea but I thought they got rid of Girardi to fix these problems? It seems even with a new manager they still exist. I think the players like Boone better than Girardi. But if he's not getting results on the field, what does it matter? That's exactly my concern. I feel like some of these gameplay decisions are from upper management and they don't let Boone manage 100% of the time. This bullpen is going to be spent by august like chi said at this rate.

I don't disagree with anything you said. All I can say is the obvious that its still very early and we've started slow in the past only to right the ship later. Yea but I thought they got rid of Girardi to fix these problems? It seems even with a new manager they still exist. I think they considered Girardi too tight in personality and that the team played stiffly against Houston, but it hasn’t worked out differently with the nonchalant Boone at the helm. If anything, they can’t get out of their own way. Also, the fact that Cano stated that he didn’t want to play for Girardi might have had an influence, as well as Sánchez continuing to struggle defensively. Lastly, remember the gaffe of Girardi not calling for a review that would have given the Yankees another at bat and base runner? That may have been the proverbial last straw.

Right yea Boone is actually pretty decent at challenging things but it just seems like to me upper management is getting too involved in managing this team.

You could be right, and that may have been the preference for Boone in the hiring process.
