Good post, Desousa. I wasn't aware that Refsnyder, Kaprelian and Littell were doing so well. How quickly these guys seem like ancient history.

Thanks for sharing these updates. I always swear I’ll follow these guys careers, but they fall off my radar... and even more so with COVID shutting many of them out last year...

Some of you more knowledgeable folks on here help me out. We clearly need help at catcher, at least one outfield position(probably 2) and an infielder. Apparently there is no one on the farm that can help this year. Do we have players that will be major league ready next year?

He’s an offense first catcher, compared by many to Sanchez. A little raw with the mitt. I really like Florial, but he hit .239 in 2019, and is struggling around .200 so far this year in AAA. I think we should wait a while on him to see if we can unlock the bat. He has raw power, speed, a tremendous arm, and is a good CF. An infielder? No one comes to mind at this point. It would be an under the radar choice... we have some guys that profile about at Nick Solak’s level, and Solak is a starter for Texas now.

He plays 2b and SS. Trey Amburgery is a corner OF was off to a hot start in AAA, but got hurt. He just came back from the DL yesterday and hit a homer. Florial is adjusting to AAA after a good start in AA. Ex-Rays farmhand OF Tommy Milone is hitting well, but has never put it together for a full season. Somerset (AA) has a few big arms Gil, Otto, Krook, but not much in position players. No real catchers since Wells is still in Low A and highly touted Josh Breaux hasn't started is hitting .149 in High A. Here's a question, if we're out of it at the trading deadline (I hope not), who is tradeable that would get anyone worthwhile back?

Here's a question, if we're out of it at the trading deadline (I hope not), who is tradeable that would get anyone worthwhile back? Deivi Garcia, and Abreu are two of the most valuable assets. Gil and Otto are certainly arms desired by other organizations. Florial is intriguing to most organizations. I don’t think Park nor Amburgery are seen as impact players, though Park was who I was thinking of as a potential what’s Solak-type. There may be some value left in Frazier, and Sanchez would get us... something. I wish we could move Gleyber for a real SS, and in olden times when the money flowed freely I’d find a way to give Stanton away just to make way for something that can help consistently... We should put Frazier, Sanchez, and Torres out there as the Three blind mice and see if someone wants three basket cases... It might be that NY is simply the wrong market for those guys to play in...

Thanks to everyone for the information on this thread. I wish I could say it gave me hope for this year but not so much. The Marlins gave us some money to take Stanton. Best move they ever made. I have had faith in Cashman in the past but when he signed Odor to play significant minutes that faith began to fade. He has hit above .205 only once in the last five years. Seems to me a farm system could produce a better body than that. I have felt all along that our improvement needed to come from the players on our big league club now. Seems that is probably the case. Now about that Gittens fellow!
