Best news on the injury front is that there is no news saying that Ellsbury is close to coming back. At least none that I have heard. Ellsbury Has Setback, Needs SurgeryThe New Yankees reported today that Jacob Ellsbury awoke yesterday morning with a long nostril hair that was impeding his ability to keep his balance. Surgery to trim the hair has been scheduled for next week. In the meantime, Ellsbury has had his nose plugged as a precautionary measure. When asked about the nostril hair Ellsbury replied only, "It really tickles. I sort of like it, but the team won't let me keep it. They say it could be classified as a mustache that is outside of the team's facial hair policy because of it's location. This is sort like when I got my first pube. I think they're starting to bully me unmercifully because I can't run and jump with the other boys. I miss showering with them, I'll tell you that. It's fun to get naked with the team. It's a way to bond." Then he placed his finger aside of his nose, and up the chimney he rose!!!

I think the "Drury Love" is more based on the "Walker Hate"...One of these players is likely going to outplay the other...Hope Wade gets the first stab at this and winds up sticking at the MLB level... I think thats exactly right. Not so much about Drury as it is about how much of a black hole Walker has been. I wanna see what Drury brings to this team.. especially with the migraines in the rear view... I actually wanted him to take reps from Andujar but I changed my view of that. Now with Torres on the DL, lets see what the kid has at 2nd. A lot of people have the idea that Drury is an older guy, but he's actually younger than Judge.

Strange that Tommy John never had Tommy John surgery. It hadn't been called that yet...

SOoooo... Mr. Sanchez has two homers during his rehab... But they're his only two hits. 2 for 12 with a 50 percent K rate... I'm not worried though

I believe Clint Frazier may be one of those guys that could stand to gear himself back just a little bit. He plays the game with an admirable wild abandon that's fun to watch, but there is a difference between being aggressive and utilizing controlled aggression to achieve results while not getting yourself banged up so badly you can't stay on the field. It's a lesson sometimes learned too late by enthusiastic young players. When that happens, careers fail to develop, or can be cut short.
Strange how some players are too lazy to run out routine ground balls, and others won't even slow down when approaching a fence...

I still believe Clint Fragile is a great talent. Clint has a lot of visible skills that make him intriguing.....I see him as an expendable piece if a good pitcher was available...if he stays, I hope you are right about that talent....

Remember Slade Heathcott always injured for his all out play. Hope Frazier don't fall into that it appear he aggravated his concussion... Which I didn't know was possible

Remember Slade Heathcott always injured for his all out play. Hope Frazier don't fall into that it appear he aggravated his concussion... Which I didn't know was possible Yes, Slade Heathcott comes to mind, as did Rocco Baldelli...For the most part, talent wasted... It's hard to believe that Baldelli, who retired from baseball at age 28 has been out of baseball for eight years already. Heathcott who is still only 27 has only appeared in MLB for one short stint in 2015, hitting .400 for the Yankees. If he doesn't make it back, he'll have retired with a .400 average. Earlier this season, he was playing for Oakland's MiLB AAA team, but was apparently released, as he is now playing for the Sugarland Skeeters of the Atlantic (IND) League...For some reason, I had a hard time buying into him as a potential MLB player...I just didn't think the brain was that well connected to the body...
