The sad part is we held em to 3 runs. Completely winnable with even an average offense!

Another mostly lifeless game.

Another mostly lifeless game. I don't know how Marcus Thames keeps his job, they've obviously tuned him out an none of these hitters have improved and the younger ones are regressing.

Tuned in just in time to see the last few shovels full of dirt thrown on this rotting corpse. So for the first time in 50 years the Yankees have scored two runs or fewer in 9 of 12 games. Just great.
Does the braintrust (I use the term loosely) even recognize that there might be a problem with the offense? Any changes in the offing, or do we just need to get these guys going?
Glad I missed much of this latest atrocity.
I did go to a nice cookout, though! And I am guessing I might be the only one in these parts who doesn't find ice cream tempting. Or desserts in general. I know, I'm the odd man out on that.

I get my bad calories from bourbon, which is undoubtedly even worse for my health. But I'm 6'4" and usually stay between 190-195, so that part works out okay.

You're doing great, Kaybli. Lots of discipline. I don't think 190 is bad for six feet.

I don't like the way I look in pictures. I spent many years perfectly satisfied at 5’11” and 205. I got up to 215, then 233. Slowly fought my way back to 215 and bing around there for a couple years, next fought down to 205 again. I’m at 181 now. A bit less of me to carry around... Kaybli, I think most of us get some of that face fat you’re talking about. For some it gets to be where when you look at the sides of your face, there’s still more face there. I think it’s just a symptom of aging. Don’t go out and put your face in a paint can shaker or anything. Embrace a more mature “you”... Now THAT was advice I’m going to share with more people. “Don’t put your face (or head) in a paint can shaker”. What a unique idea for a suicide, though...

This is the very strangest team, and it’s being run in a very perplexing manner. It’s almost like Strat-O-Matic...
I’ve always been a Cashman advocate, but if he’s really pulling the strings he shit the bed on this year...

This is the very strangest team, and it’s being run in a very perplexing manner. It’s almost like Strat-O-Matic... I’ve always been a Cashman advocate, but if he’s really pulling the strings he shit the bed on this year... Perplexing is le mot juste, as they say in Perpignan. I am still naive enough to believe that these guys can't possibly stay this bad for an entire season. But some of this stuff -- Gleyber Torres has the second-lowest exit velo rate in the majors at 84.1, he is beyond question awful defensively, and unless they move him he seems destined to be the Yankees shortstop at least until DJLM's contract is up in six years. And he isn't the worst problem by a long shot. The Yankees should inform Brett Gardner that they are holding a day for him at his retirement ceremony before next Sunday's game with Boston. He's embarrassing himself at the plate. Trey Amberguey couldn't possibly hit worse, or give Florial his shot. It's easier to accept a kid struggling to hit.200 than a guy at the end of the road. Mike Ford clearly has in his possession compromising photographs of Hal Steinbrenner with underage girls. It is the only possible explanation for his continued presence on this team. On and on, Frazier, Sanchez, the Stanton conundrum, it's like we cover the same ground every day. But with all of that, they HAVE to be better than this. If not, Cashman has essentially screwed the franchise for the foreseeable future.
