Cool, Bernie played the National Anthem before tonight's game on his guitar and he was actually at the game. He looks very cool. Like an old jazz head.

What? Boonie sensing urgency? Or is this just how the wheel came up today? I took the day off today to work in my yard. The high of 99 degrees helped me decide to get up early and get out there at 6:30 until 11:30. Then I took a siesta. Now is still 99 with a brisk hot wind getting up. I was spraying for weeds, but it’s too windy now. Only 84 tomorrow, so back to work… after finishing the weed spraying early… Out to dinner at 5:00. I’m gonna miss the start. I hope I miss a lot of Yankee runs and some great Yankee pitching. I’ll also hope for some great Yankee defense and base running. Some… So, I must inquire...where to dinner? What did you order? The neighbors invited us and took us to Olive Garden. I had chicken parm with a salad from which I consumed a generous portion of lettuce and one of the hot peppers with Italian dressing on all. I did pick out the larger hunks of tomato from the marinara sauce which Ruthie gladly accepted. And I had a couple of the breadsticks. All washed down with Raspberry tea. I’m quite sated.

I also liked "Lotta Love" but I preferred Nicolette Larson's cover that was of course the hit version. She was a cutie who died way too young. Yeah, her and Linda Ronstadt sang backup on some of Neil's songs during the 70's. Neil wrote "Lotta Love" for Nicolette and "Love is a Rose" for Linda. Ronstadt had a prominent backing vocal on "Heart of Gold" as I'm sure you know. It was just as she was starting to break out as a solo artist. Although she had already had a big hit fronting the Stone Ponies in 1967 with Mike Nesmith's "Different Drum."

Chicken Parm always works.

The was something about the way Ronstadt wore halter tops and tied shirts that just drove me crazy. There was also a poster she did with a white see through shirt while braless that was wildly erotic… proof positive that the female form doesn’t have to have mammoth breasts to delight the senses. <Horny old man? Nah. Horny old memories>. Mostly, she had the hottest eyes…
