You absolutely did not. But truth to tell, I've never seen that particular accident with a maple bat either. True, but it seems ash bats broke and maple bats shatter, causing all that splintering. I hope Urshela is able to stay in the game. No question. Ash is my tree of choice, both for bats and as a lifelong amateur dendroligist. It's unnatural that not only maple but birch -- freaking scumbag birch -- is more popular than ash these days. Further evidence that we are indeed in the End Times.

Well, it’s the last crawfish boil of the year here, as the shells of the freshwater crustaceans are becoming too hard. Aw man, those stupid maple bats. You didn’t see that with ash. Sucking heads and pinching tails.

They showed the replay of the Derek Jeter flip play. I know we've all seen it a million times. But it's still one of the most iconic plays in Yankee history.
I wonder how many shortstops in history could have made that play. My list ends at Honus Wagner. Maybe.

Kay can't get Meredith off his mind. You know he has some fantasies.

Stanton perilously close to being thrown out at third. Not running well.
