Just skimming the rest of the thread to see what I missed. Too many good posts to quote so ill just summarize. Balls/Strikes: If we are going to display a box on the screen why are these calls so bad? So of them are so far out of the zone it is ridicolous. If we have visual evidence like this it should be reviewable. This has been a huge problem for like 3 years now and it seems to be getting worse. Replay: Why are the same guidelines not always used? I thought it has to be indisputable evidence? I also thought the ball only has to be in the glove to count not have to hit the back of the glove? It seems like these things are being forgotten. Here is the thing though the Yankees can sit there and bark from the bench about how unfair the above two things are and they are right, but if there is not going to be any changes they are going to have to swing at some of these "strike" pitches and try to put them in play. I've lost count at how many called strike 3's they have looked at this year. The thing is the ball might not go that far, but we see the Red Sox putting them in play and getting infield hits so the Yankees to adjust to this terrible strike zone. Team performance: We can sit here and say the Yankees only beat up on bad teams, but that isn't true. outside of their division the yankees don't have a losing record against any team, but the two games in philly. They have winning records against: CHW, CLE, HOU, KCR, MIN, OAK, TEX, WSH multiple of those teams are in first place or close to it.. They are 3-3 vs Detroit, but I think thats cause they basically checked out that series because of the week they had coming ahead. Also 1-1 vs ATL. Boston and Tampa don't have winning records against Houston, Oak, or CHW. The problem is the division play. 5-8 vs Tampa 0-5 vs Boston 6-6 vs Toronto 6-4 vs Baltimore Whats crazy here is if you subtract the head to head records the Yankees are playing vs each of the top 3 teams the Yankees about the same record as these teams. Tampa is 39-26 against everyone else. Yankees 35-28. Boston is 41-31 against everyone else. Yankees 40-31. Toronto is 33-30 against everyone else. Yankees 34-30. So I feel the Yankees if they can just stop making stupid plays and just a little better in their division could honestly run away with this, because they are actually beating these top AL teams while the Rays and Red sox are not. Yet here we are losing to a pitcher they've seen a combined 150 ABS in their careers and have a slash line of .272/.358/.513/.872. There's still a lot of baseball left to be played if they get their head out of their asses.

Good luck at the gym! lol, we should start a workout thread to give everyone some motivation. Thanks Chi! I've only gone twice and I'm pretty weak and a little intimidated, but I already see my energy level is up and I feel much better! Don't worry about what other people are doing, they should be focused on their own workouts. Plus, I think most people that are great at something at the gym are usually humble and the most willing to help others with their workouts.

Right kaybli and they are actually pretty competitive against these top teams outside their division. This isn't last year or 2018 where the Rays or Red Sox were just playing miles ahead better. Even just one win today makes a huge difference overall but everytime the Yankees have been in like a "must win" versus these teams they choke. I totally agree the strike zone is terrible but if you see the ump is calling certain pitches strikes don't just look at them....

The top of the 7th is huge right now. Just to get one more run would help keep the momentum moving our way…
Can’t chase Hernandez. Make him work for this…

With this unbalanced schedule, it's imperative to play well against your division rivals, the Yankees are obviously not doing that.

I don't know about you Chi, but the only problem I ever have in a gym is people hogging equipment when they aren't actually working out and are just yakking with friends or going through their playlist for 10 minutes without getting off the apparatus.
