The most important thing is that tomorrow is an off day, so everybody will be rested. And then six games, and the All Star Game and four more days of glorious rest!! Boonie is so excited!! After the all star game the team will emerge with a new outlook. And a special purpose. And Boonie is going teach them all what their special purpose is for! It’s going to be so exciting. And then, the new phone book will come, and…I’ll get you a blue and yellow thermos!… Boone channeling Navin Johnson. Some crazy guy is shooting at cans!!! |

Does anyone really think rest if the issue? Yes, I did not sleep at all last night. I’m hoping if I continue to stay awake, perhaps I’ll be able to sleep through the night tonight. This has been an issue for a while now for me, but I’m not sure if it has any effect on the Yankees. Why do you ask? |

My sister is easy to please and asks for the same thing each year for her birthday: grilled ranch-flavored hamburgers, chili dogs, potato salad, baked beans, cole slaw, guacamole, salsa, and pineapple upside down cake. Last night, I made chicken enchiladas, salsa, and guacamole, and prepared the hamburger patties, so they could marinate overnight, and that took care of preparation for three items for today and started on the potato salad this morning. If it would have rained today, I would have cooked crawfish etouffee, rice, cornbread, corn maque choux, and a cucumber and tomato salad with a balsamic vinaigrette dressing. I was hoping it would rain, but it was nice, albeit hot day. |
