I don't know much about the draft but I'm just hoping Leiter or Rocker don't go to the Red Sox who are picking 4th.  |

Nah, his father is former Auburn Outland Trophy winner Tracy Rocker, currently Eagles O-line coach. He and Leiter are the two Vanderbilt pitching phenoms. Remember Lee Rocker of the Stray Cats? Great upright bassist. |

Was thinking about this other day, I know he's had some salty rumors about his past conduct, but Yanks really miss Gary Denbo as their player development guy - he's now with Jeter and Marlins. When Denbo was leading the development program, he created the Captain's Camp which seemed impactful, we really saw an improvement in the farm graduating players those few years, and kids simply understanding how to play the game - which now we see can be an issue. It could have been a coincidence now that he's gone but I'm not so sure. It also coincides that since he's left, we've seen hardly anyone graduate and make an impact. Am I off base? Anyway, it's not really related to the draft but somewhat is.
Re the draft, Yanks haven't been glowing there either the past two decades.

And I believe the Yankees cheap ways have paid a few benefits, but we have also missed on some chances to get better talent in the draft because they tend to slobber over physical tools over proven performance. It’s like they choose to spend small money over and over on lottery tickets that seldom pay off instead of using the same money to invest in blue chip stocks… |

I am encouraged with some of these infielders they have up and down the system, and the new pitching regime seems to have been a positive so far this year on the farm.
