What is your philosophy of hitting? Do tell. Quiet lower half, balanced throughout the swing, level through the zone, hands inside the baseball, right field first and use the whole field, hit the ball where it’s pitched in the zone, two-strike approach means choking up, strikeouts have no value, think with your hands not your swing, practice in the cage and compete in the game. Sounds good to me!
I have a philosophy of hitting too. Take the first pitch. Choke up as much as possible, try not to swing like a girl (even though I probably will), any contact is good. Try not to take the surrounding laughter personally.
(batting was never my thing)
Batting on the Playstation now we're talking!

JP Crawford was supposed to be the next Derek Jeter when he was coming up through the Phillies system. He's doing well this year, but he's not HOF material by a long shot. Is the Phillies bullpen still blowing games at a record setting pace? They've eased off the last few games, but they are still easily on pace to break the record of 34. They have 22 so far. I have faith that they can do it. . Need to step out for a bit.

This one isn't looking good +800 Yanks to come back. Should I plop down 100? I’m not feeling it, but maybe your bet will be the butterfly wings that leads to the hurricane. If my wife were here, she’d be more encouraging, having a deep love of spending other people’s money.

Stanton swings at those low pitches too much.

How you gonna let this guy retire 17 guys in a row? I understand he's a good young pitcher but come on.

Stanton swings at those low pitches too much. He can look so bad on some swings.

Batting on the Playstation now we're talking! Growing up alone in the sticks, I spent hours hitting rocks with an ancient Louisville Slugger bat with duct tape around the barrel. I watched my silhouette, fascinated by the look of a level bat arc, with the aim of having the rock hit the mailbox, a tree across the road, telephone poles, and the actual telephone wires, which would produce a high pitched sound like a rifle shot. When I first experienced a real pitched ball at school during recess and PE, I was amazed at how easy it was to hit the ball where I wanted. Having 20-10 vision helped, too. But, I liked pitching even more than hitting.

I wonder who the better baseball player was, young inger or young rizzuto? Similar experiences it seems. Did you get a lot of notoriety with your famous last name?
I spent most of my youth shooting hoops.

Yes, the difference between speed and quickness. I know about the latter but no clue what it’s like to experience the former.
