Both Eovaldi and Cole were chosen for the All Star Game. Eovaldi has beaten the Yankees twice this season, allowing only two earned runs in 13.2 innings pitched. Cole faced Boston once this season, getting tagged for the loss after five innings in which he allowed five runs on eight hits and two walks. Cole is pitching for the first time since his sparkling nine inning, twelve strikeout, 129 pitch, shutout performance against Houston.

Cole might have to be just as dominate as he was last week in Houston to have any chance to win.

What an organization we got these days. Look forward to Eovaldi stuffing it in our face yet again, they might as well go from Evo, Whitlock, Ottavino tonight to stick the knife in more. But hey, Hal saved some money and we kept Nick Nelson on the 40-man!

At least we didn’t get Luis Castillo this spring, although he seems to be fixed now…

His early season ERA was around 7. He’s down to 4.65, but he’s still stuck with an ugly 3-10 record… Must have been a Chapman-type out of sync thing…

Allen rf This lineup is a disgrace. I would hard to be more unproductive than Gardner, but Locastro has found a way to do it. Boone keeps playing both of them at the same time. I'm just going to skip this one and spare myself the terrible FOX national broadcast. There's other things to do on a Saturday night.

A team desperate for offense refuses to play a kid who's absolutely deserved it so far in the minors this year with an absurd .450 OBP in 250 PA.

There are no Gaps in this outfield. Zoom!!! This might be the worst starting OF that we've ever seen for a Yankee game in July.

I predict Stanton hits a home run that leaves everyone gasping. It'll be a solo shot of course and won't make an iota of difference. But it will be impressive.

There are no Gaps in this outfield. Zoom!!! Indeed. We've weeded out anyone who might could hit.
