I was at the New York / Baltimore game that originally led to the rain rule changes. Yankees scored 6 runs in the rain in the top of the fifth, leading to Earl Weaver objecting to continuation of the game after a rain delay. I’ve forgotten now the entirety of the drama from that day…Somehow I think it wound up that the game was called and had to be replayed… |
