Boone one hitter too late, again. By the time he put Britton in, it was too late.

Reckon German will be stretched out enough to throw a 100 or 105 pitches by Spring Training? I put this on Boone and his slavish adherence to pitch counts. German was obviously not struggling.

Another way to look at it: Chad Green hasn't pitched since Thursday Loaisiga, who is coming off just having COVID and threw 20 pitches yesterday Which one should have been used for the 8th?

The Yankees seem to have a "worst loss of the season" once a week now.

Mariano has not pitched for this team since the 2013 season and even thought theres been other closers and relief since then I can't remember so many blown 8th and 9th inning losses.

Which makes this even worse, Britton came in and retired all three batters he faced, something he has struggled to do since he's been back, but it was just too late.

Even Cessa would have been a better choice than Loaisiga at that point. Boone, the ever-resting manager didn’t rest the guy that just got back…

Why bring in a ground ball contact pitcher with 0 outs and runners on 2nd and third?

If the Yankees can bounce back and make the playoffs after all these brutal losses, I'll be really impressed. They've been kicked and beaten a lot.

Let him go the rest of the year, get a better draft pick, and then start a new. The higher ups don't have the balls to remove Boone now.
