Why do we continue to fall flat in the third game of the series? Difficult to believe we have a better chance to win with Nestor Cortes than Gerrit Cole. Are we even over .500 in games that Cole starts? Maddening that we never seem to give Cole an early lead.

It seems almost incongruous that DJLM would have a 37-game on base streak and still only be hitting in the mid-.260s. And only .291 during the streak, albeit with a .376 OBP.

Love Voit, but I'd trade him in a heartbeat in a decent deal. How many teams need a first baseman? Boston does, but I can't see that happening. |

That’s the false equivalence of the metrics-heads that aver a walk is as good as a hit. RBIs generally require hits. As do taking extra bases, defensive boots and bad throws. |

It's hard to swallow that barring a trade or career-ending injury, Stanton is our DH through 2027. Where does that leave Judge or Sanchez in their mid-30s, assuming we keep them? |

I hear Boston is interested in Anthony Rizzo of the Cubs. Rizzo is a lefty with power and a solid first baseman who can put on some great at bats to work a walk or take the ball to left field, but he has back trouble. |
