Positive note: Florial continues to do something every game. 1-2 with a walk. 990 OPS but cannot get regular playing time. There is zero reason Gardner should be playing over him besides blind loyalty to days gone. I know in the long run we'll focus on the good things, which far outweigh the bad things. But right now he is consuming a valuable roster spot on a team fighting to get into the post-season. He clearly has a lifetime job with the Yankees if he wants one. Still time for the Yankees to give him a tribute next homestand and let him ride off into the sunset. The Yankees released a finished Phil Rizzuto in August 1956 to make space for newly-acquired Enos Slaughter. So it can be done. And Scooter was on the payroll for another 40 years. |

Mea culpa. Even Einstein would have been thrown off kilter by that stupid dome. It would have come out C=me2 and the world would never have recovered. |

Newton would have noted that 99.9999975 of all objects tossed upward fell to earth. We’d still be trying to figure out what happened to the rest. If Alfred Kinsey had started observing his subjects in there we’d have been messed up way before we were. The Wright Brothers would have reported a lid on the sky, confirming the early studies of Galileo (if he had been domed)… |

Even though we've known the aunt and uncle about four years, we only found out about Caleb last year. He had already won gold in Rio in 2016, but the family was pretty low-key about it. |
