Fitting that Gallo catches that. Boone got away with allowing Chapman to throw 30 pitches, when he obviously had gone too long without an appearance. Chapman gutted his way through a tough save, having nothing he could command.

Contracts dictate the roles for players on this team. Just a bad manager in Boone. He's a puppet that's told what the do by management. I credit the players for rising above it all remain in playoff contention. |

Had em the whole time. That Chapman just likes to play with his food, like a cat with a mouse… Yeah. Either that or he has no idea where the ball is going. The dots are actually more interesting when Chapman pitches because they leave up the placement of all the pitches of an at-bat. He's high, low, wide right, wide left (often by a considerable distance). No obvious approach to any batter. Just random placement of pitches. Of course, I have no idea where the catcher is setting up. Still, he gets the save. But he is far from being right. |
