As usual, HR's mean everything in the post season. If we had two more hitters rather than Sanchez and Gallo chosen solely because they can hit home runs and nothing else we would be in a lot better shape. Your philosophy, that only home runs matter not batting average is central to the design of this team. It does not work. Which is why we have no offense. Because they believe that only home runs are important. You're in denial. The key to winning in the post season is power hitters and power bullpens. Just re-watch last season's world series if you want a good example.

Its amusing that you can watch a team built around your philosophy that only home runs matters never batting averages, fail so dismally and not reconsider your views. The Yankees are never going to win a WS where 7 of the nine team members bat a collective .225 regardless of how many home runs they hit. Nuff said.

Green implodes too often in big moments.

Oh well. Three walks and a single = two runs. It was going to be very hard to score 3 runs -we just are a terrible offensive team by play off standards.

Green implodes too often in big moments. That’s because he’s way overused, as most of the bullpen is. That’s what happens every year with Boone removing starters after 4 and 2/3rds innings.

My philosophy isn't a team loaded with right handed hitters with only a couple of them being true power hitters. They need a left handed 1st baseman and left handed hitting CF or 3rd baseman with power. Adding guys like Gallo and Odor was a waste of time.

Green implodes too often in big moments. Asking your bullpen to be on point for 163 games now has consequences, Green at the top of the list. Must get this offense fixed this winter, among many other things but that's gotta be first and foremost. If this offense were what they were supposed to be, they'd have won 100 games and guys like Green wouldn't have been taxed by mid-summer.
