We aren't a good offensive team. They came back from similar scores just earlier that week it shouldn't had been a problem. Also I think I like the best of 3 format from last year better this one game stuff sucks. That great statistician James Thurber said it best. "The race may not always go to the fleet of foot nor the battle to the brave of heart - but that is the way to bet." Anything can happen, somethings are more likely. And what is most likely is for us to not score a lot because we have a lousy one dimensional offense.

Theres honestly no excuse for not winning that game last night. They had beat the same team multiple recently. The same pitcher even.

I’m truly concerned that Cole has not been right for multiple stretches this year, especially the final stretch of the season. Our ace might be Nasty Nestor, if Boone would let him pitch past 4.2 innings…

Even the Orioles win more than 30% of the time. A sport like baseball is not well-served to have anything important decided by a one-game play-off. The problem is that the season runs up against cold weather the later it goes on. I’d rather see a three game series with a day one split (day night) double header, followed by a single game (if needed) on day two… a really test of the rosters and team depth.
Heck, now that I think about it, double headers in the full post season, one per series, sounds like a bitchin’ good time, doesn’t it? I don’t like that roster depth, especially that of the pitching staffs becomes less important in the most important games of the year. Make it tough…

We need to encourage people to watch baseball period. The more that get in the play offs the more the interest will be. Baseball needs casual fans to not just diehards.

We need to encourage people to watch baseball period. The more that get in the play offs the more the interest will be. Baseball needs casual fans to not just diehards. Baseball, if it is going to run properly, needs yo money. They take yo money to make mo money. Give. Give people. Give until it hurts, only through yo pain can we have mo gain. Pay fo that TV contract, buy that MLB network. Go to the games and convince yoself that $20.00 hot dog was really a kielbasa or some exotic sausage. Love it. Chew it digest it, suffer without it and poop it with reverence. Wash it down with two $8.00 beers and don’t forget to tip the beer man. Hr has bills to pay too. And those players! They have children to feed. They have golf course snd country club fees to pay. It’s not easy. Those owners have heirs.
