I am not trying to create a game thread. Just talking about the game. Yes I am bored, you would too if you did what I do for a living...  We swept Boston in Boston and almost got swept in our home stadium. Given that we are not hitting home runs recently you wonder how much we would benefit from being on Yankee stadium. Going last helps if you have a strategy. I don't think we do commonly. We swing and hope. |

If I post 1,314 times by tomorrow I can reach 10,000 before the game (which I may not be able to watch anyhow).

Th Yankees seem to play better on the road, so playing at Fenway shouldn't be a big deal. Hal will miss the home playoff gate but so be it.

I do research at work. Here, ignoring that I don't have time, I am too lazy.
I am not sure what we did lately is pertinent for us who streak up and down at the speed of light. But if it does why is the last quarter matter and the last two week does not.
I don't really believe in luck or that people bring it. I remember the humor of when we calculated winning percentages in game threads to see who posted in the wild card etc ...lol

The best would be if Cole is on his game and goes 6 or 7. If not look for King/Loaisiga/Sevy/Green to pick up the slack. We'll probably have to make up runs in that scenario.
Another key is not to let Devers beat us. And don't walk Kike Hernandez like you always do, Cole. Hopefully JD Martinez doesn't play.

Oh, there’s luck that just happens. Like say for instance a baby emerging from the womb of an old money family. But for the average human, allowing that we live a life of free choice, the courage to take chances, desire, ambition all okay a role in how far we go. Health is probably the one over riding factor than can only be over come in certain careers or circumstances… |

There are several Red Sox that have had extensive at bats vs. Cole and have hit him well. Only a few Yankees have that distinction versus Eovaldi. It’s a sad truth. Judge has hit him well, though not with a lot of power. Stanton has a couple HR against him. Rizzo is 5 for 9 with 3 doubles against him. Small sample, yes… but three doubles in 9 AB is promising.
Yep. Somebody else has to decode Eovaldi. He’s a good, but not great pitcher. He can be beaten…
