Freddie Freeman with a two-run shot has Atlanta up in the first. Plus now the Dodgers have lost Justin Turner for the duration. Looking dicey for the Angelenos.

Now the Dodgers' opener Joe Kelly leaves with an injury in the first. Phew, they are hemorrhaging talent. Kershaw, Bauer, Muncy, Turner, now Kelly.

The Dodgers might use 10 pitchers in this game. Yeah, they're pinch hitting for the pitcher, apparently planned for every pitcher AB. Chi, since you're here I will repeat a question buried in the music thread. Did you know that Neil Young and Rick James were in a band together in the mid-60s called the Mynah Birds? I just learned this recently, but I figured a Young scholar like you might have known that. |

Who has the better shot at beating the AL team in the World Series at this point, the Braves or the Dodgers? That's who I'll support in this game. I would have thought the Dodgers, but they're losing lots of key players. Atlanta has looked surprisingly good for a team that lost its best player (Acuna) in July. |
