The Dodgers might use 10 pitchers in this game. Yeah, they're pinch hitting for the pitcher, apparently planned for every pitcher AB. Chi, since you're here I will repeat a question buried in the music thread. Did you know that Neil Young and Rick James were in a band together in the mid-60s called the Mynah Birds? I just learned this recently, but I figured a Young scholar like you might have known that. I did know that about Neil and Rick James. My memory is a little foggy, but I think before they could travel south to play in the U.S., James got arrested for something and that was it for the band.

How scary is this for a hitter? Fried was thinking about the baserunner while releasing the pitch. You could see looks of horror on the faces of the fans in the Kaybli seats.

You have it exactly. James was AWOL from the US Navy, so he stayed in Canada and changed his name. I just thought that was a bizarre combination of two guys who didn't seem to have much in common. Plus a few future members of Buffalo Springfield and Steppenwolf were in that band. They did some recordings in the mid-60s that were very typical of the era.

Old Man Pujols with two hits and the Dodgers are up 4-2.

Thanks for filling in the gaps there, pipps! That is a very strange combination, Neil Young and Rick James, two guys that couldn't be more different. Neil also knew Randy Bachman and Joni Mitchell back in those Canada days when they were all unknowns.

I wouldn't be surprised to find that Geddy Lee and Celine Dion did some duets back in the day.

Much as I have disliked the Dodgers for over 60 years, I do like their classic uniforms. The royal blue, the script. The Yankees set the standard for sartorial taste long ago, but after that I like the Dodgers, the old English D Tiger uniforms and the Cardinals perched on the bat ensemble.

After all this shaky pitching, of course Brusdar Graterol gets 6 outs on just 14 pitches.

I’d like to see that movie again. The critics gave it two thumbs down for the most part, but I enjoyed it…

The Houston Astros Are Being Accused Of Cheating, Again, With Claims Of Whistling On Certain Pitches
Listen for the whistles just prior to two of the Astros’ home runs on Wednesday night.

I dunno, it seems as if Boston would be all over this if it were real. Unless they're cheating too, but not as successfully.

Anyway, the Dodgers send it back to Atlanta with a fully-rested Scherzer and Buehler ready to go. It should be interesting.
How does Chris Taylor hit three home runs? These guys get contributions throughout the lineup.

Cashman: “We’d like to acquire Chris Taylor from your organization in exchange for our standard Melky, Igawa, and IPK package. But we only want the post season version. If he reverts to his norm we wish to reserve the right to return him. Yes. We know he’s already 30, so the return clause we’re asking for is for two seasons”…
