Yea just sucks because for all the power teams like the giants dodgers rays etc it winds up being a team that was in a similar position as the Yankees and you just see how badly the Yankees managed the same opportunity. I think they were like a game off the Braves for best record or so since the ASB, but with 2 weeks to go or so they were way ahead in that category, but took their foot off the pedal had to rest all these people and look what happens. Like you said though good it wasn't those other teams. What really stinks is that we invest 6 months following this team and the entire season comes down to one winner take all game and our Ace craps the bed big time. We didn't even get to see a playoff game in Yankee Stadium and now we have a long, cold 6 month wait and maybe longer if there's a lockout. If there’s a lockout, I might decide to ditch the season. I almost ditched 2020, because I thought a partial season was a foolish risk that could have resulted in deaths… |

Yea I liked the Best of 3 format better just I don't think I like 8 teams making it in, but it can still be Best of 3 with 4 teams. Baseball is not a 1 game playoff kinda sport since each team has a pitching staff etc it isn't like the NFL where QB is the most important position. Making the playoffs should guarantee you at least one home playoff game so if they did best of 3 again I guess the fairest way is lower seed 1 home game and higher seed 2 home games. |
