The Braves did it. Just shows you can be just average at the all star break and turn it on later. Team only wound up with 80 something wins but they won the games that mattered without one of their star players.
That's the difference with the Yankees this year it seemed like everything it was as game to take control or push forward they didn't put their best efforts in.
Least the cheats lost.

Also crazy how the twins non tendered Rosario and then the Indians gave him away for cash you know if that was the Yankees that got him he would have broke a bone the first week.

The Braves did it. Just shows you can be just average at the all star break and turn it on later. Team only wound up with 80 something wins but they won the games that mattered without one of their star players. That's the difference with the Yankees this year it seemed like everything it was as game to take control or push forward they didn't put their best efforts in. Least the cheats lost. I give the Braves front office credit for rebuilding this team on the fly after Acuna's injury. After the trade deadline, the Braves had the best record in baseball, so this was no fluke and this current group is a lot better than the one that started the season. It also helps to be able to develop players as well as they do, there's several home grown stars on this team. |

Don’t care a lot, but I am glad that neither Boston, Tampa, or the Ass-tros won the championship. The Braves look like a team to reckon with for a few years. I hope we get to play against them a few times.

Yea just sucks because for all the power teams like the giants dodgers rays etc it winds up being a team that was in a similar position as the Yankees and you just see how badly the Yankees managed the same opportunity. I think they were like a game off the Braves for best record or so since the ASB, but with 2 weeks to go or so they were way ahead in that category, but took their foot off the pedal had to rest all these people and look what happens. Like you said though good it wasn't those other teams. |

What really stinks is that we invest 6 months following this team and the entire season comes down to one winner take all game and our Ace craps the bed big time. We didn't even get to see a playoff game in Yankee Stadium and now we have a long, cold 6 month wait and maybe longer if there's a lockout. |
