Kike Hernandez has 3 hits already and it’s only the fourth inning. I can't bring myself to watch these two teams. How are you able to? Oh, I just saw the box score on ESPN. I haven’t seen a game since the Yankees were eliminated.

!6 pitchers were used in last night's 9 inning game. I don't see how that's good for the game.

Yay? 😐 For me, the Dodgers, Red Sox, and Astros are my least favorite teams, so not much reason to watch. I’ll pay attention from afar, just as a baseball fan.

Two things: 1981. Then, when I lived in California, I hated games and the self-absorbed fans at Dodger Stadium, with the beach balls, the wave, the traffic, the focus on everything but the game, showing up in the third inning, leaving in the seventh, yelling balk with no one on base, and standing up in front of you looking in the opposite direction of the field, gang-bangers fighting in the stands, drunk and profane people in the parking lot.

If you don’t use your financial advantage, you might as well not have one… Plus they're far better at developing and producing productive players from within. That’s where the Yankees are supposedly spending the money instead of at the top level. I wonder if we’ve just been unlucky with injuries and such or doing a crappy job. I know for several years we took some almost silly chances in the draft. Imaginary picks where they saw something no one else saw that never materialized. Then, for a while they were looking hard at the quality of the individual as much as skill level, then they still brought in free agents and trades with less consideration for their citizenship. Oh, and we went through that period of scouring the Dominican and Central America to look for players no one else knew about. That kind of bombed too… I know not what the secret plan is now, but I think all the other teams have a decoder ring. They should play it straight up and pay the price like everyone else… Analytics only go so far. Again. Decoder rings are now a dime a dozen. Use it, but use it wisely…

If you don’t use your financial advantage, you might as well not have one… Plus they're far better at developing and producing productive players from within. The Dodgers have been fortunate with their first round picks: Clayton Kershaw, Will Smith, Walker Buehler, Corey Seager, but they also went out in free agency and got Mookie Betts, AJ Pollock, Bauer, Blake Treinen, and Joe Kelly. They really lucked out on Max Muncy who was released by the Oakland A's in 2017, and especially Justin Turner who was essentially let go by the Reds, the Orioles, and Mets before miraculously hitting .340 as soon as he put on the Dodger Blue. The deadline trades of Max Scherzer and Trea Turner really showed their taking over the Yankees' mantle to do whatever necessary to push them over the edge. Trea Turner was exactly the kind of shortstop the Yankees needed and Scherzer is just an animal on the mound. Credit the Dodgers for doing what Hal will not.

90 minutes into game 2 and they are in the bottom of the 2nd. 8-0 Boston.

For those of you who enjoy watching train wrecks -- Boston up 9-0 in the third. Houston playing like Baltimore. Unbelievable.
