It used to be Wildwood or Seaside Heights when I was young. Does Atlantic City count? I used to go there all the time back when we all played Texas Hold Em and counted cards playing blackjack. Now its Asbury Park because a good friend of mine lives there.
Have you been to any of those places? Of course of you have, who am I asking? We always went into Wildwood from Cape May when we were kids. The boardwalk there was much more exciting than anything in sedate old Cape May. Great rides that I still remember fondly. Junk food Heaven-- James's Salt Water Taffy, Mac's Pizza, Kohl's Soft Serve, cotton candy, fudge-- everything! Atlantic City was in a bad way when I was a kid, pre-casino. My grandparents ALWAYS went to the Miss America Pageant. LOL. They took it very seriously. I like Ocean City. More under control than Wildwood. But for sure, Avalon, Sea Isle City, Stone Harbor, Margate, Brigantine-- I've spent a lot of time in all of them. I've been to Asbury Park, but it was a little far north for us. We used to take deep sea fishing boats out of Point Pleasant. Any place on the water works for me! You've been to more of the beaches than me, someone whose lived in NJ all his life! Now that I've got my beach bod back, I have to catch up!

My wife was born and raised in Newark but she's never been to Cape May. Get on that Parkway and head south!! LOL. The Parkway is something else. I prefer the Turnpike. I'd take 95 to get to you pipps!

Same height as our good buddy Altuve. Why do these short kings always kill us?

What an insane season this has been. If the Yankees go 43-42 they will win 100 games.

They seem to have the clutch gene that was missing for so long. Never out of a game, timely hitting, and comebacks galore!

Kay, The floor at your house must be extremely clean this season By my count I've swept the floor nine times already this season! The record for most sweeps in a season in 19 by the 1986 Mets. The 1961 Yankees had 18 sweeps.

Stanton's last 6 hits have all been HRs. He’s been hitting like we’d like Gallo to hit…

Geez. We had four errands to run. We left about an hour before the game, and just got home a bit after the last out… At least we won, and at least those errands are completed now. Nice 95 degree day here. I look longingly to the high of 83 today where we’re planning our build…

Geez. We had four errands to run. We left about an hour before the game, and just go home a bit after the last out… It was just business as usual. Another day, another win. I loved how quickly the 3-0 deficit disappeared. I got to watch dots for a bit while we lunched at Chik-Fil-A… Quite a trip: To Social Security for proof of income letters. To the post office to resend a small package that has oddly boomeranged back to me twice instead of being sent to MD. To a paper shredder place to shred about 5 years of paid bills, old tax records and wasted else was within about 100 pounds of papers. To the pharmacy to pick up my first ever script for insulin, which oddly is about $50 cheaper than the alternative med I was taking, which I can now drop. I’m saving money by being out on Trelegy. I’ll be drowned in soup broth and stick to my own mustache. Who’d a thunk? …
