I used to complain about Hicks getting injured all the time. I didn't realize how good we had it. Hicks occasionally gives hope that he's coming around. But after all these years, it's clear he's a .215 to .225 hitter. Gallo never gives even a glimpse. Yet they both play nearly everyday. Got to have outfielders that hit better than that.

Boone used 3 pinch hitters in the final two innings but Gallo & Hicks both came to the plate. Sometimes the Yankees talent can't overcome the lack of logic in the dugout.

Judge just needed to sit the day before a day off. Totally the best move. Oh well get #60 in Pittsburgh. And against the 2nd most homer prone pitcher in the game, at that…

Yes, thanks for asking pipps. Same brother who was on TV. I sent him and his wife on his way on a one way ticket from Newark to Los Angeles. He has landed safely and is now getting a rental car. The main hassle is they have a toy poodle that went with them. But they drugged him up and he was apparently good on the plane. On to new adventures on the West Coast! Maybe I'll catch a Dodgers or Angels game when I visit him. Sounds great Kaybli. For sure catch some games out there, even though it's more fun to visit in winter. Dodger Stadium is one of my favorite ballparks. Plus you are guaranteed to see a fight break out in the stands at no extra charge. And, following the ball game, you can play a game of trivial pursuit while trying to leave the Dodger Stadium parking lot at Chavez Ravine. Pipps is correct: no additional charge for the fights (plural) in the stands, whether you are a spectator or participant.

Man, this McKenzie is a bag of bones. Baseballref lists him as 6'5" 165 pounds. I was 165 in junior high school.

Well, another "Monty Zero Support" game by the Yankees. Baffling. More baffling is Judge and Carpenter not playing. Having both Hicks and Gallo is just too much for the lineup with IKF not hitting and no DJ. Donaldson batting third? Ugh.

Carpenter has given this team an unexpected spark but his biggest obstacle has been his own manager.
