I also left out Jim Capaldi, the late great drummer of Traffic. Traffic was one of the must underrated bands of the classic rock era. Good one. Steve Winwood and Dave Mason. I played "Paper Sun" to death back in the day. Let's not forget the band Blind Fait with Steve Winwood, Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker and Ric Grech. One of my all-time favorite songs:

What are you looking at Hicks? The same guaranteed contract no matter how he plays.

Don't forget the great Wrecking Crew drummer Hal Blaine who died a few years ago. He played on about half the rock records released in the 60s and 70s and was an influence on Bonham. I also left out Jim Capaldi, the late great drummer of Traffic. Traffic was one of the must underrated bands of the classic rock era. Shouldn't we have Mitch Mitchell on this list? Also Bobby Graham, who was essentially the British counterpart to Hal Blaine as a session drummer. Ringo is no slouch IMO.

lol, at least my Zeppelin stuff. I've spent a lot of time listening to that band. Not as much time as listening to Neil Young.
You gave me an experts rundown of his entire catalogue when I asked, I remember.
lol, I've had plenty of time to listen to both. I'd recommend Zeppelin's BBC Sessions if you ever want to check out some the band's early raw stuff. They were bootlegged for years but Page finally released them in the late 90's.

Also Bobby Graham, who was essentially the British counterpart to Hal Blaine as a session drummer. Ringo is no slouch IMO. Ringo gets a bad rap from drummer fans, but he is underrated in my opinion. Ringo never practiced playing drums unless there was a band to play with and a song to accompany - his philosophy of percussion is rather unique in that sense. Lennon said they rarely told Ringo what they had in mind for a song and he was never out of time.
